There is no need to book. Just come along at 5.30pm and our friendly volunteers will help check you in and set you up with the live stream!
The laser show goes for 15 minutes and starts at 6pm sharp. Remember - there are two different shows that play on alternating nights!
For the best experience of Bicheno Beams, we recommend bringing:
- A phone or streaming device
- Headphones
- Warm clothes
- A chair or picnic rug
- A thermos of tea, coffee or hot chocolate
Please note that this is an alcohol free event.
This is a family friendly event in a public park - alcohol is not permitted.
There are small speakers by the stage... but it's definitely best to experience the show with your own phone and headphones.
The good news is that if it is raining the show will be even more spectacular.
However, if there should be a storm or strong winds that make viewing unsafe, we'll cancel the show. Keep an eye on our Facebook page if the weather looks bad...

The show starts at 6pm on the dot - arriving early ensures you're set up and comfortable, plus our volunteers can assist with live streaming to your device.
A covid-safe plan has been prepared for the event, in accordance with current guidelines.
All relevant public health directions have been followed and are monitored for updates at coronavirus.tas.gov.au
This is a night-time show in an unlit park. Our guides will be able to show viewers by torchlight to the best viewing spots. However much of the site is grass and a little uneven, so we recommend that those who need assistance advise our guides on arrival and they will direct you along the best route.
If you would prefer to sit down, please bring your own chair.
There is plenty of street parking close to the Lions Park.
The organising Committee will cordon off two disabled parking spaces at the entry to the Park for use by anyone displaying a Disabled Parking Permit in their vehicle.
There are public toilets directly across the road.
There may be food and beverage vans from time to time during the show season. Follow us on Facebook or Instagram to find out if there will be any on the night you are attending the show.
